reviving the Triangle de Bavière

The Triangle de Bavière, once an underused & neglected parcel in the heart of Liège’s Outremeuse district, is undergoing a remarkable transformation.

Abandoned since 1987, the site was long considered a detractor to the neighborhood’s vibrancy & quality of life. Today, it’s being reimagined into a dynamic, multifunctional space that promises to enhance the cultural, residential & educational landscape of the city.

In collaboration with the Maison de l’Urbanité, a new video delves into the latest developments of this ambitious project. The episode sheds light on the progress of construction, the challenges faced, and the guiding principles behind the master plan. Our very own guy standaert, architect, partner & studio manager at assar, shares his insights on the innovative approach to this site’s reconversion.

The Triangle de Bavière will host a vibrant mix of functions, including a cultural hub, residential units, educational spaces & sorts facilities, all while preserving the area’s unique heritage & addressing the needs of its community.
